The focal point of our life as a church is Sunday Morning Worship. We gather at 11:00 a.m. to join in praise, prayer and thanksgiving. We gather to hear the reading and preaching of God’s word. We confess sin and hear words of God’s forgiveness. We depart and follow the light of Christ into the world to live out faith in our daily lives.
Our worship may be described as relaxed/traditional. We predominately sing from our Presbyterian Hymnal and our choir gives God glory through the presentation of both traditional and contemporary selections
The Word is read and proclaimed through the sermon. Pastor Brian seeks to connect to the real needs, struggles, and situations of people by bringing to light the Good News of Christ for their lives.
The Presbyterian Book of Order states:
“Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God is present in the world and active in their lives. As they respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed… The Spirit of God quickens people to an awareness of God’s grace and claim upon their lives.”
